Editing a zone from inside the game, and water you can swim in
15 commits that day. Written up from the work itself.
Editing from inside. Zone editing embedded in the game, with far less waiting: prop edits no longer rebuild the whole terrain, previews recover instead of hanging, and the camera behaves.
Water you can be in. Deep editable liquids and first-person swimming, brush presets for shaping the ground, boats with controls, and a live diagram of the world that keeps up with the world.
Rules about who can hold what. Per-item class, race and deity permissions, enforced rather than suggested, with an audit of what the world actually contains.
The zones were then prepared as blank terrain, with the previous layouts archived. Starting again on purpose, with better tools than the first time.
