Both cities have people in them now

43 commits that day. Written up from the work itself.

A fortnight ago Fairhaven was a walled city with nobody in it. It now has a guard on the gate and a guildmaster for every class who will tell you what that class is for.

A master at arms in Fairhaven, explaining what a monk is for.

The cities keep their own people. Fairhaven and Gloomdeep each have their own rosters rather than borrowing from a shared pool, and the first quests in both are worth walking across town for.

Every class has an epic. The monk's came first, The Still Water: three tasks set by the master of the hall, monks only, and a reward nobody else can carry. The other thirteen followed the same shape, each guarded by the people who would guard it.

Things you can now do. Swimming, drink and being visibly drunk about it, poisons that no longer gamble on how many vials you brought, begging, intimidation, languages you either speak or do not, disarm, and throwing weapons the weaponsmiths finally stock. Casters got specialisation, fear, and rules for what invisibility means to the undead and to animals.

Defences, and being told which one saved you.

And dying can cost you a level, which is the part that makes the rest matter.
